Meet Shauna Brand.
Playwright, director, actor, educator, and founder of Speakeasy Theatre Company.
About
Shauna has been making plays since she was six. She studied at Weber State University, earned a master’s degree at Westminster College, and has spent more than 28 years directing.
Her work moves easily between performance and education. In addition to writing, directing, and acting, she teaches theatre and helps young artists find their own ways into story.
In fall 2022, she founded Speakeasy Theatre Company: a home for original productions that are funny, serious, surprising, and always willing to wander off the expected path.
